It just makes sense...

Most photographers charge you to have your portraits taken, then charge a fee for each print they make for you. This can quickly add up to $50-$60 for just a few images--not to mention the hassle of calling back each time you want to order another print. I have simplified this process by releasing my copyright to my clients so they may reprint their own portraits at their discretion.
